Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev paid a visit to Kraftway plant in Obninsk (Kaluga region) in April 2010 to hold a meeting of a Commission for Modernization and Technology Development of the Russian Economy. The head of state made a tour of the production facilities accompanied by Alexey Kravtsov, Kraftway’s president. He showed to Mr. Medvedev new production lines and automated testing zone filled with the latest Kraftway bestselling product – all in one PC Kraftway Studio.

In a special exhibition booth Mr. Medvedev was shown several innovative solutions developed by Kraftway in cooperation with Russian companies and research centers. The solutions presented to the President covered several areas important for Kraftway’s business such as education, including solutions for children with disabilities, oil fields modeling, state electronic services, city security and intellectual video traffic analysis. The tour ended in a newly opened laboratory where Kraftway is authorized by the state to perform special tests to ensure that the equipment sold to the state can process confidential information and is compliant with the requirements of the information security legislature. The laboratory is integrated into the production cycle.

In his opening remark at the meeting the President noted:” I think this is our first meeting that is taking place right inside a plant. People are working nearby, while we discuss some fairly serious issues. This is probably good. In any case, I would like to thank everyone who has invited us for allowing us to meet in such an interesting place”.
