Kraftway presents the updated PC series 2004

The Kraftway Company, a leading Russian computer and server manufacturer, has presented its updated PC series 2004, as well as a wide range of peripherals produced under the Kraftway brand.

As against 2003, the Company has made substantial alterations to the PC construction and the design of PC chassis.

Since 2004 Kraftway has been supplying PCs in two form factors: desktop PCs in the microATX format which save PC users' working space, and tower PCs providing considerable opportunities to expand their configuration. Considering new tendencies in the office and home PC design, the shifts in customer preferences revealed in the course of their detailed interviews, as well as actively developing a network of its local partners to enter the retail PC market, the Company has started producing PCs in two color variations: classic light beige (for tower chassis) and fashionable silver grey (for both desktop and tower PCs). Furthermore, customers can always choose individual color solutions for their chassis.

Due to the constructive alterations made, the rigidity of a standard beige chassis has been intensified and the number of slots for 3.5'' devices increased from two to four. The chassis are provided with an improved power supply unit.

In developing new silver grey chassis, Kraftway specialists paid particular attention both to their design and ergonomics. A special plug on the front panel enables the convenient connection to user headphones, a microphone, and USB-devices.

In Kraftway series 2004 two well-known PC lines will be still available to customers — the multi-purpose Kraftway GEG Popular PCs and high performance workstations for Kraftway GEG Prestige resource-intensive applications. Both product lines are provided to customers in the two colour variations. Kraftway GEG Popular PCs are manufactured in two form factors, whereas Kraftway GEG Prestige in tower chassis only.

As an option, the standard 3.5'' floppy disk installed in desktop PCs can be replaced with a card reader, provided in different formats.

The offered range of Kraftway PCs is intended for all the technology and cost niches. The line-up is generally based on Intel clocking rate processors, including the recently announced, newest Intel^® Pentium^® IV 3.4-GHz processor.

Kraftway has taken a fundamentally new approach to the formation of its product portfolio by manufacturing diverse computer peripherals, including monitors, keyboards, mice, and acoustic systems.

Focused on providing users with desktop PC sets in a single style, the Company has started to supply inexpensive, up-to-date, ergonomic silver grey 15'' and 17'' LCD-monitors under the Kraftway brand. Samsung matrix, used in the monitors, secure their excellent characteristics as to picture brightness (250 Cd/m2) and contrast rate (300:1 for the 15'' model and 350:1 for the 17'' model respectively).

The basic peripherals set includes keyboard and mouse, both of the same color as the system cabinet. The Company also offers the wired / wireless KBR-0108 sets intended for use with silver grey PCs and colored alike. Designed to meet the modern ergonomic requirements, both sets have USB-interfaces. The keyboard is equipped with a detachable hand placement panel, as well as with eighteen additional keys for use with the multimedia and standard Microsoft Office XP. The mice offered in both sets are optic. The KBR-0108 set includes an additional two-channel send/receive module (common to both the keyboard and the mouse).

Aimed at accomplished multimedia solutions, Kraftway has developed compact acoustic systems to be provided to customers together with several GEG Popular PCs. The design of silver grey acoustic systems corresponds with the common design of the set.
