Kraftway G-Scale 2-16 CPU
Kraftway G-Scale 6008 and 6016 servers are based on last generation Intel® Itanium® 2 and intended for critical business applications, high performance computations, and disaster-proof cluster systems development. They offer an exceptional price-to-performance ratio and easy scalability, thus protecting customer investments.
The main features of Kraftway G-Scale 2-16 CPU server series include:
- developed with use of Intel® E8870 chipset, enabling the succession of junior models of the series and easy software transfer;
- resource management console;
- large memory address space.
Kraftway G-Scale 6008 and 6016 servers are SMP-systems provided in a 36U rack cabinet. They support up to eight and sixteen processors respectively and offer clusterization opportunities. Each server contains a console for centralized management of the system environment, operating system, servers, storage devices, and storage area networks (SAN). The servers operate under Windows® or Linux® OS.
Due to their 64-bit architecture, Kraftway G-Scale 6008 and 6016 servers secure large informational arrays processing when using resource-intensive applications like Business Intelligence, ERP, CRM and others. EPIC (Explicitly Parallel Instruction Computing) technology enables to faster process floating-point operations, which is critical when using such servers for large scientific, technology, and design computing tasks.
The exceptional scalability of Kraftway G-Scale 6008 and 6016 is due to the use of a special multiplexer FSS (FAME Scalability Switch) and Intel® E8870 chipset, thus enabling the development of four, eight, twelve, sixteen processor systems based on Intel® Itanium® 2. In addition, Kraftway G-Scale 6008 and 6016 are compatible with next generation Intel® Itanium® 2 processors.
